Hey! I’m Robert Shook, a photographer based in New England (summers) and the Caribbean (winters).
I started photographing weddings when I was a photojournalism student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I found that weddings were a great place to apply the storytelling skills we were being taught in school.
My goal at weddings is to blend in and capture the energy of the day. I hope to remind you of your favorite moments and surprise you with those you missed.
In my other life, I am an offshore sailor. I live aboard my sailboat “Effie”, who I take back and forth between the Caribbean and New England. I also do some work as a captain, on my own boat and others.
Wedding Photography
I work most often in Connecticut, New York City, Rhode Island and Long Island, but am willing to travel anywhere to photograph an event.
